Scientific illustration
-
My interest in scientific illustration is rooted in an early connection to both art and science. Growing up between a diverse landscape cities and the exposer to my father’s physiology books, it has developed a natural curiosity about the world around me, and how complex concepts can be communicated visually.
I believe scientific illustration is the ideal path to combine my artistic skills with my commitment to education—transforming knowledge into clear, engaging visuals that inspire understanding and appreciation.

My journey in art began with traditional drawing from an early age and evolved into a BA in Visual Communication (Motion Graphic Design). Over the years, I found myself drawn to sketching natural forms, a habit that gradually shaped my professional interests. In 2023, I began focusing specifically on scientific illustration, deepening my skills and knowledge in the field. By 2025, I had become an advanced scuba diver, allowing me to directly observe marine life and engage in projects related to Red Sea species. This unique combination of artistic training, diving experience, and passion for science has led me to freelance and professional projects that bridge art and education. With over a decade of experience in design—including freelance work (2010–2020) and my role as Senior Graphic Designer at RPS Studio (2020–2024)—I am now committed to advancing my expertise in scientific illustration to contribute meaningfully to both research and public understanding.

After earning my Master’s degree in Scientific Illustration, I envision becoming a pioneer in visual science communication in Saudi Arabia—bridging the gap between research and public understanding. I aspire to work alongside leading scientists at institutions such as KAUST or NEOM, creating illustrations that not only document discoveries but also inspire curiosity, education, and environmental awareness for generations to come.
